Driftwood at the edge of the Western Brook Pond Fjord in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland, with the towering cliffs peeking through heavy fog in the background.
My partner and I had to take the Western Brook Pond boat tour on separate days because one of us had to stay behind with the dogs. The day I went was annoyingly bright and sunny, with clear blue skies - terrible weather for photography! This was the day he went. Fantastically moody and foggy ... I was so jealous, but I made the most of my time stuck ashore!
I love how this driftwood looks like a sea serpent rising out of the glassy still water.

After seeing it all, Atlantic Canada kept drawing her back and in 2018 she escaped city life for good, relocating to the beautiful Bay of Fundy region of New Brunswick to pursue photography full-time. With her bold and vibrant images, Tracy strives to capture ordinary scenes in extraordinary light. Endlessly inspired by the wonders of the vast Canadian...

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
