I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph This Silver Fox at the Muskoka Wildlife Centre, which has since closed. I was part of a special workshop that actually got to enter the enclosures with several of the animals and take photos in a natural setting. This Silver Fox was extremely friendly and we were warned not to let him jump in our laps! The Silver Fox is not a separate species, but just a rare colour variation of the common Red Fox. The animals at the wildlife centre, many of whom are used in educational programs and movies have all been relocated since the centre closed.
Tracy Munson is a blue-haired, wine-drinking, nature-loving, bunny-hugging, Canadian Landscape and Animal Photographer. While living in Toronto, Tracy took every opportunity to escape the city and her rewarding but stressful job in one of the country's largest Animal Shelters. For many years, she traveled around Canada in a tiny car, with a large man, a tent, and two chihuahuas. After seeing it all, Atlantic Canada kept drawing her back and in 2018 she escaped city life for good, relocating to the beautiful Bay of Fundy region of New Brunswick to pursue photography full-time.
